Stunning Golden Measures Which Regulate

כ״ה בתמוז תשע"א
Faunus 27

In follow-up to previous posts (Ner Tamid, Travellers' Sphere of Protection, Goldener Apfel) on this blog and my shoppe blog, I note that just a few days ago, during the infamous Three Weeks, it was announced that an ancient Golden Bell from the Kohen Gadol's garment was excavated near the wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem (HT - Mystical Paths for pointing this out today).

This is interesting, given the announcement's synchronicity with my new Golden Candles (see first line end-links above) and the fact that the priestly Golden Bells are associated specifically with a Kohen Gadol embarked upon a traveling expedition (see first line middle link above).

Usually translated as 'a Golden Bell,' the Hebrew phrase פַּעֲמֹן זָהָב may alternatively be translated as 'a Golden Metronome.' The word metronome derives from Greek metron (meaning 'measure') and nomos (meaning 'regulating'). The Hebrew word from which both translations (bell and metronome) derive comes from the shoresh פעם which can mean several things, including 'stunning' and 'to surge' (emotionally or psychically). Certainly, my Golden Candles are beautifully stunning and surge with mystically magical emotive fire.

Also, in synchronicity, the Hebrew Torah phrase not only mentions "Stunning Golden Measures which Regulate," but also, the next phrase in the Torah text following "a golden bell" is וְרִמּוֹן - "and a pomegranate" - a new candle set also posted on my shoppe blog the same day as the Golden Apple, see my stunning Midnight Pomegranate votives and tapered pillar here and here.

So, synchronicities keep piling up.

Magical Operation

י״א בכסלו תשע"א
Shamash 14

Last night I dreamt a dream with three sets of threes.

Set 1. Three Liquors.

I was in a fancy restaurant with a bar along one wall. For some reason, I was asked to and did point out three bottles of liquor from among many I was shown that were especially magical. One among the three I chose was especially especially magical, and I designated it as such. The three liquors I chose were classy liquors although I don't know now specifically which ones I picked out and designated as especially magical. In the background, someone was trying to make trouble for me there, so I left and escaped the trouble in my black car which someone was trying to steal.

Arriving at another nice restaurant, I got out of my car and walked into its foyer. It was shabbat and people were crowding into the restaurant around me for dinner. On a shelf overhead, someone requested that a reserved box of three especially magical liquors be brought out to celebrate shabbat. The three special liquors in the special reserved box were the ones I had just chosen in the first restaurant, the very very magical one among them especially caught my eye.

Set 2. Three People.

There were three people standing on the Temple Mount Stonehenge Land - the Land was elevated upon a mystical hill - two men and me, a woman. There was no Temple building or standing stones there on the Land, it was just the Land upon we stood. We were going to do a magical operation whereby cosmic energy would be directed.

Set 3. Three Circles.

Each one of the three of us standing on the Temple Mount Stonehenge Land walked a circle like an orbit around some empty central point. I walked an orbit between the orbits walked by the men. I walked my orbit widdershins. They walked their orbits in the direction opposite mine. This was the way the magical operation was implemented.

The Othala Force

ו' בכסלו תש"ע
Shamash 7

Tonight's motzei shabbat rune drawing is othala, the O-rune of sacred enclosure, the 18th rune of my personal runerow. Edred Thorsson (Runelore) writes on the othala force:

Othala is the sacred enclosure. In it is embodied the central concept of Midhgardhr and the whole idea of "in-sidedness" and "outsidedness" so prominent in Germanic (and Indo-European) thought. The O-rune describes the ring-wall, the symbol of the enclosed land separated from all that is around it and thereby made sacred (ON ). It is a sign of the site set apart for sacred purposes, the fane or hall. For the most part the othala force acts as a selective barrier. It prevents forces detrimental to the health of the interior from entering, but it actually conducts beneficial energies into its interior.

Amazing! that I should draw this particular rune for the first time in my bedtime ritual immediately following today's "temple"-related entries, namely: Chomah, A Vision of the Temple in the Night, Working Magic, Communion and Living Magically, The Science of Everyday Matters.

Two New Stones, Two New Chapters

י"ב אייר תשס"ט
Annwn 13

I just made the connection - the colors of the sea and of the tears in my dream (Two New Chapters Of Destiny) on astrological Beltane and on the 27th day in the Omer were the colors of the two shaman stones of the amulet I wrote of in Beltane Shaman Stones.

The color of the tears I cried atop the mountain were like the color of the White Quartz from Snowdonia, and the color of the sea was like the Preseli Bluestone (the kind of stone which forms the inner sanctum of Stonehenge).

Two new stones, two new chapters. The colors of my dream.

Extraordinary!

Blessed be all my Ancestors, who truly watch over me. So mote it be!

Temple Species

כ' שבט תשס"ט
Imbolgen 20

Early this shabbat morning before sunrise, I came awake. As I was waking, I saw the sounds of two words as they burst into my consciousness - namely:

zendel (זן-דיל pronounced zen-dil)
gezereig (גזר-הגג pronounced gezer-hegg)

I got up and wrote the words down before going back to sleep. This morning, the message in the magic words comes alive.

זן - species, strain, variety, type
דיל - deal, agreement, something for something, an equal exchange, a substitution

גזר - divide into pieces, cutting, decreeing, Temple elevation, removing
הגג - maximum, top (reward and punishment)

Taken together, the two words come together in my mind to mean 'species which mediates and distributes maximum punishment or reward'. In other words, this 'type of Temple consciousness' mediates to support, modify or rescind Divine decree.

This 'type' of awareness exists in me.

House Of Levi, Beit HaBechirah

אֵלֶּה, רָאשֵׁי בֵית-אֲבֹתָם

Last night I dreamt.

I remember arriving to a tunnel-like gathering place for 'different ones'. The tunnel was like those under cities and road overpasses and such. We had gathered there of our own volition - in other words, we hadn't been driven there by fear or anything. We were there because we chose to be there among one another - like gypsies we were.

Some of our group were dancing, some talking, some just hanging out. As a new arrival, I was looking for someone. For some reason, I asked "are there any Druids here?" I was looking for a Druid among us.

Suddenly, I was standing in the shallows of the sea. The head of a man was brought up to just under the surface of the seawater to me by fishermen. I sensed that the man to whom this head belonged was part of my own soul and the Druid of my inquiry.

I didn't let the fishermen bring the man's head up out of the water completely - I had them return it to the safety of the deeper seawater before it had been exposed to air. For some reason, I felt that this was critical to resurrecting him. Then, sort of like in the movie Titanic, I entered into the depths of the sea and joined him. This too, was critical to our resurrection.

These are the heads of the fathers' houses of the Levites (according to their families) ... Shemot 6:25 (contains masculine phrasing - 'levi'im')

Wholeness Caught By The Eye Of A Witch

כ"ו תשרי התשס"ט
Blodlessing 27

In today's commentary on Bereshit (Sabbath Soul From The Mist Of Ab Duir) arose the topic of rings, taba'ot (טבעת).

From Torah Tidbits on rings:

TET-BET-AYIN-TAV, meaning RING, appears 38 times in Sh'mot (concerning the Mishkan or Kohen Gadol's garments. The only other place in Tanach that has a lot of rings is Megilat Esther (6 times). (Only two other occurrences - B'reishit and Bamidbar.) In singular, the word is TABA-'AT. In plural (most common) it is TABA-OT in its free-standing form - rings, and TA-B'OT (SH'VA under the BET rather than KAMATZ) in its S'michut form: rings of gold, rings of the Aron, rings of copper...

Interestingly, Torah Tidbits links the concept of rings to the heart (like the two opposite human/divine triplets discussed here and the 6 occurrences of טבעת in Megilat Esther) of the Shema (embodying the concept of Unity in Multiplicity) through the link of a linked discussion (see Torah Tidbits link). Links upon links upon links. Rings and rings and rings.

Other than the 38 times found in Shemot (Exodus), the only other two occurrences of taba'at/taba'ot found in the five books of Moses are one in Bereshit (Genesis) and one in Bamidbar (Numbers). In Bereshit (41:42), ring appears its singular form in the word construct meaning "his signet-ring" (את-טבעתו). In Bamidbar (31:50), rings appears in its plural form in the word meaning signet-rings, taba'ot (טבעת). Pharaoh's signet-ring is singular in Bereshit, and corresponds to the Unity aspect of the Shema. The signet-rings of the Israelites in Bamidbar are plural, and correspond to the Multiplicity aspect of the Shema.

With these ideas taken together, we can see that the Shema is not whole without Pharaoh, and that the two occurrences of טבעת outside the book of Shemot are intimately linked to the wholeness of the Shema.

Like the two occurrences of טבעת linked with the wholeness of the Shema, in my waking vision this morning, as described in Sabbath Soul From The Mist Of Ab Duir, two ideas arose simultaneously to my singular mind linking together in wholeness the prophetic Mist of Avalon with the soul of messianic consciousness "falling" into apprehension and "caught by" comprehension.

And, like taba'at and taba'ot, both the "ring" (Transforming Curse Into Blessing) and "rings" (Sabbath Soul From The Mist Of Ab Duir) link to my experience and to my reality as a Divine Spark made with both the soul Pharaoh the soul of Israel.

I am Pharaoh. I am Israel. I am what I am, and I Am One.

Gates Of The Great Rite

י"ג תשרי התשס"ט
Blodlessing 14

In follow-up to my previous two entries (Sanctuary Of Delight and Consummate Life To Enliven), where it is brought forth that even as the Gates of Prayer are closing and the Gates of the Temple are opening, I further note that connected to these Yom Kippur Gates of "closing" and "opening" are two Gates of the Celtic New Year, Beltane (now closing) and Samhain (now opening).

The Gate of the Celtic New Year is opening (as are the Gates of the Temple), becoming fully open at Samhain. Samhain is the Gate to the dark half of the year (corresponding to Essential consciousness). Beltane, the Gate to light half of the year (corresponding to emanated awareness), is closing (as are the Gates of Prayer).

The two Gates of the Year, represent a time of consummate interinclusion among the worlds (of both witchcraft and kabbalah) where worlds unite - symbolized by the Great Rite ritual (the originally "hidden" divination card) - to bring forth that which is greater than anything in the worlds alone - an experience of Essential Being.

Consummate Life To Enliven

י"ג תשרי התשס"ט
Blodlessing 14

Documenting the synchronicity of today's news event with my divination last evening during motzi shabbat:

Shattered Ship Drama
October 12, 2008, Foxnews

The crew of a cargo ship were lifted to safety before their vessel was smashed in half in the Strait of Gibraltar, The U.K.’s Daily Mail newspaper reported Sunday.

The Liberian-registered Fedra was caught in a strong storm Saturday as it passed through the strait, and was pinned against a cliff by devastating waves despite dropping anchor, The Mail reported.

At first, Spanish maritime rescue helicopter was able to airlift several crew members off the doomed ship. But as winds got stronger, rescuers were forced to suspend the mission after a rescue helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing. The storm later subsided just enough to finish the job before the ship was shattered against the cliff, the paper reported.

My divination, described in Sanctuary Of Delight, brought forth 3 Hebrew letters:

עצ ק

which I translated as "focused through the eye of a needle".

The two letters עצ can also be translated as "narrowing, closing"[1], as is the Strait of Gilbraltar narrow, and are the Gates of Prayer associated with the Neilah service (the fifth and unique service) of Yom Kippur closing.

The letter ק which I translated as the eye of the needle (associated with the Temple Gates and the "expropriation of transcendent Divine lifeforce by the material realm" as described in kabbalah) can also be translated as to refer to redemption through the mystical meaning of the letter itself.

So, even while the Gates of Prayer have become closed into a narrow place through which passage is difficult, the Gates to the Temple Sanctuary of perfect delight, are open to provide sanctuary and redemption from the devastating waves and stormy winds of life,

so the physical vessel housing the life which enlivens is not shattered into halves at the narrow place, but remains ever whole and joined together like the Ogham letter of my divination, luis (rowan), a letter of two lines united by one - which is translated through my divination as "a sanctuary of delight with the strength to turn away negativity." None of the ship's crew members perished. All were treated and released from the hospital following rescue.

A card from The Hidden Path not shared in my divination entry last evening was drawn following the Ogham letter. That card was The Great Rite, symbolizing "perfect union, formed to create something greater than the parts can be on their own, a consummation beyond personal matters and limitations."[2] Last evening was the first time I have used this deck. Last evening's divination was its initiation into my practice.

The Bull And The Bulldozer

י"ט תמוז התשס"ח
Faunus 21

Last night I dreamt.

The part of the dream synchronous with and significant to this morning's news event is this:

My dream -

I killed a rampaging bull that was attacking people (who were coming to my house) outside in my house's yard. No one whom the bull had tried to kill (including myself) was killed. I can't remember in the dream if I shot it or speared it. I am pretty sure I speared it in some manner.

The news event -

None were killed from today's bulldozer rampage in Jerusalem, the second one this month.

Sixteen people were wounded, one of them moderately, as a bulldozer driver went on a rampage in central Jerusalem Tuesday afternoon in an apparent attempt to recreate the terror attack in the capital earlier this month.

The vehicle reportedly left a construction site near the Yemin Moshe neighborhood and set off towards Liberty Bell Park (Gan Hapa'amon), near the corner of Keren Hayesod and King David streets. It drove a distance of approximately 160 meters, attempting to overturn a bus and crashing into four other vehicles - one of which it flipped over. The man was then shot dead by a civilian and a border policeman.

The bulldozer driver was shot and killed by two individuals with a firearm. In my dream, the bull was killed by me, one individual with a spear or long knife. The connection between my dream (while I was 'dozing') and the news event is the concept of a 'rampaging bull' (-dozer) producing no fatalities.

Video news report.

Her Torah Rising Up From Below

ה' סיון התשס"ח
Alban Heruin 6

Last evening's motzi shabbat divination consisted of 3 Hebrew letters and 1 Ogham letter.

תיו - Torah from the earth; Her Torah, an earth-based shamanic configuration anchored in Truth through the letter tav (ת), projecting through Her hand (י), Torah (ו)

and the letter ailm - the fid of an epiphany

This divination followed the Tzohar dream vision of the single cell-like tav-like Newgrange-like iron framework of an inner temple room simultaneously, both coming down from above and rising up from below. It also connects to my Hebrew name, Liorah ליאורה, whose Torah pasuk of remembrance is Devarim 30:12:

ל א בשמים, הוא: לאמר, מי יעלה-לנו השמימה ויקחה לנו, וישמענו א תה, ונעשנה
It is not in the heavens, that I should say, who can go up and get it for me that I may observe it.

Tzohar, Mountain Of Time With The Sun In A Circle

ד' סיון התשס"ח
Alban Heruin 5
Yesod of Malchut

I dreamt. These are the details I can clearly remember, which begin somewhere in the middle of the dream. The beginning of the dream has since faded beyond discrete memory.

There was a mountain. I and two other women were in a room within the mountain. A man was there with us. He and his father were doing and had been doing experiments over time with time. They kept trying to stay one step ahead of time "catching up" to their whereabouts in any particular time, because if it did before they "fixed it", all creation would be annihilated.

The man and his father had set up a nuclear-like bomb to go off deep within the mountain, which would destroy the mountain built of time. We would be killed or forced into another time. That is, those of us who were eternal would be forced into another time. Real, manifest time.

The man and his father knew each of them were eternal, but wasn't sure about we three women in the mountain's room. We would either be destroyed in time when the bomb went off or, if we were also eternal, we would jump through time with the man and his father.

The bomb went off, destroying the mountain of time. We were all thrown through time into a huge enclosed room rapidly filling with water. A serpent may have also been in the water with us. We would all drown in the room if I couldn't really do magic and get us out.

Suddenly, we were in a gypsy camp. A woman was reading my timelines off lines on each side of the spine appearing on another woman's back. The man was employing the woman to read my timelines on the other woman's back to see if my timelines were related to his. He was doing this because, on my back, my 'timelines' existed as a single timeline directly over the spine. For some reason, the one timeline on my back could not be easily read directly and had to be read as two timelines on the other woman's back. It was dangerous and would be lethal for a man to read the single timeline of a woman whose timeline was not directly connected to his.

The woman reader's words as she spoke to the man regarding my timelines were increasingly suggesting to the man that I was the one whose timeline was connected to his throughout all time. The woman upon whose back my timelines were being read didn't like this news the reader was providing to the man. I felt the woman whose back was being read was a rival of some sort. She didn't want the timelines on her back to lead to me and refused to let the woman reader read my timelines any further. The woman upon whose back my timelines had been read, got up and informed the man that he would have to read the single timeline directly on me if he wanted any more information. In other words, she wasn't going to give up her place in the running of potentials and concede victory to me so easily. She got up and walked away from the reading place. The man had no choice but to try and read my single timeline directly from me if he wanted to ascertain surely the connection of our timeline. He decided to try.

Suddenly, I alone was a woman underwater. I rose up to the surface of the river-sea and found myself near the door to a wooden boat-like raft-like house. I had been escorted to the surface and to the door of the rafthouse by two male corpses with copper pennies covering over their eyelids. (It reminds me now of the River Styx.)

The door opened and the rafthouse became more raftlike. A man stood upon its surface deck with a wooden staff like a ferryman. He saw the two corpses with the four copper pennies over their eyes. Then, he accepted me and plucked me up with his staff out of the water and pulled me onto the raft where I rested.

Suddenly, an iron framework came down from above or rose up from below around we two on the wooden raft. The iron framework consisted of four equally spaced iron poles turning inward and upward toward an iron circle zenith to which they connected. It was the framework of a temple room. The circle was open at the top like a paneless window, a tzohar. The four iron poles came out from the outer surface of the circle window. Its broad dome-like form reminded me of the temple of Newgrange.

I was laying upon the surface of the wooden raft looking up through the iron encircled window above me into the moving grey sky.

I woke up, laying in my bed. Yet, the visions of my dream continued. Even as I listened to the thunder outside, I saw tattered storm-cut video tape flapping in the wind off the wooden joints of the raft upon which I was laying. It reminded me of the video tape used to make the wooden raft in the film Cast Away, which I had watched last night. Near the end of the film, as the man is about to be rescued at sea, there is a scene of the man laying on his wooden raft after a storm with a brief scan of the battered and storm tossed raft still being held together by tattered video tape.

Suddenly, I saw an alignment coming and looked up toward the iron circle above me. The sun was moving into alignment with the circle's opening over me. The sun moved left to right into perfect alignment within the circle. The sun perfectly fit into the frame of the circle from which its light focused down. Exactly onto me. It reminded me of הנץ החמה.

The waking vision ended. I got up and recorded it.

The Holy Half-Shekel & Removal Of Death Tumah

כ'א באייר תשס"ח
Mab 22

The night before last night (Saturday night following Shabbat), I dreamt. There is more to this dream than I am going to blog, but here is the end of the dream.

I was with a rabbi, believe it or not. I'm not sure exactly what our connection was, but he had taken me up for some reason, like a teacher or advocate or something.

He took me into the inner outer court of "the temple" (which was like a makeshift diaspora shul) covered within the folds of his cloak or robes of some sort. After we were inside, I came out from among the folds and stood there within the midst of the room.

There was a long table in the middle of the room where judges sat. The head judge sitting at the middle of the table was a woman.

A large group of people came into the room from the outside. I was now surrounded by a large group of Christians whom had agreed to pay $50 per person for the opportunity to see inside the temple. Some of them began to secretly and quietly sing Christian hymns around me, which seemed to try to incorporate me as one "lost" in the crowd among them. I didn't feel they were doing this specifically to me, but to the temple room itself (as if trying to imprint the walls with the presence of their song). I felt so unseen and marginalized standing there surrounded by people to whom I did not belong. I could hear them because I was surrounded by them. The others inside could not. I wanted them to go away, I was feeling smothered and suffocated by the covert singing of hymns by some of them.

The head woman judge spoke to the crowd who had each agreed to pay $50 to be there at that moment, surrounding me, and told them that their $50 worth of time was over now, to bring the money forward to pay for their visit, and directed them that it was now time to leave the shul-temple. Visiting time was over. Each one was to bring his or her $50 to the person at the end of the table collecting the money for the visit.

The head woman judge looked at me. "I don't have $50, I didn't agree to pay $50," I said. "I'm not one of this group. I came in with him," I said, pointing to the rabbi who was standing away from the whole fiasco. The rabbi acknowledged me. The group left and I stayed behind in the room.

We all went into another less formal room. Everyone was now chanting Hebrew prayers and such things. The head woman judge said to me, "Do you think you could fit here?" "I don't know", I said, "I haven't said the prayers in a long time."

The scene changed. Now the rabbi was using me as a divining tool of some sort. He was holding me around the waist and I was leaning out from the waist, like we were attached at the waist. My arms and hands were free floating out into the space in front of us, as if my fingertips were "smelling" the air. I did not consciously direct the movement of my arms/hands, they moved as if they were a sense organ seeing what could not be seen, leading us toward something.

My fingertips touched different places in space and we all followed were they led. Suddenly, my fingertips turned around and I touched myself.

We were then inside a cave where a woman had been held captive for a long time. At first, the cave appeared empty. Again, I was used as a divining tool. There was dirty iron pot sitting on the ground near one corner of the back wall where waste had once been collected during her captivity. The rest of the cave was immaculately clean and well kept for a cave. She had been held prisoner here for a long time. Where was she now?

I looked and found a shallow grave, like a bump in the floor shaped like a body. Her body was still in it, protectively covered over by tightly woven soil (held together by fine plant roots) like an earthen shroud. With my hand, and my face near her face, I was able to poke through into the woven soil around her face, into the space in front of her face, and then started to pull back all the woven soil which protectively covered and sheltered her from the deathly dankness of the cave. As I did, exposure to the fresh air (we had brought with us by finding and opening to enter the cave) agreed with her. She didn't disintegrate like a mummy or once-enshrouded dead body exposed to air might have. Instead, death left her body and she came back to life. The shroud made of woven soil had kept safe her life.

We had to get her to the surface, and did quickly. Once on the surface, she was me I think. I could make no distinction between us. The rabbi pulled something away from us. It looked like a huge slate blue rock the size of a small boulder covered with a filmy luminescent membrane like that which covers a newborn. The thin membrane isolated the bulk of the rock from contact with everything else and held it congealed together like a ball. I knew what it was - it was death tumah. He threw it out into the water which was flowing like a river, to be carried away in the current of running water.

I woke up.

Sheydim In Beit HaBechirah

י'ב באייר תשס"ח
Mab 13

In contrast to today's earlier entry on the collapse at Angels Camp, here is an entry on sheydim (commonly, yet incorrectly, identified as demons).

Excerpts from Magic Of The Ordinary: Recovering The Shamanic In Judaism (Gershon Winkler):

The book of the Zohar, one of the most classical of the Jewish mystical texts, describes the sheydim as "half human, half angel" ... (beings who) dance between both the spirit world and the physical world ...

who await their completion during Shabbat*.

"And the Source of Powers said: 'The earth should bring out of itself the Life Spirit ...", taught Rabbi Yehudah HaNasi, "these are the sheydim, whose souls the Creator fashioned and whose bodies the Creator was about to form when the Settling Time (Shabbat) arrived ..."

Jewish tradition recounts quite extensively how sheydim were invoked by people for evil or good.

Although "demonized" by religious scripture and folklore, sheydim are also mentioned in more positive contexts. Shlomo, who was Chief of Hebrew tribes during the ninth century B.C.E., is recorded as having made positive use of sheydim as have several of the early rabbis. Dabbling in the arts of invoking sheydim is therefore not to be confused with "demonology" and was never prohibited by Jewish law except in instances when sheydim were invoked as primary source powers rather than supplemental aids in "supernatural" maneuvering [1]. But invoking sheydim as aids for effecting "supernatural" phenomena rather than as primary causes of such phenomena, is althogether different and permissible in Jewish shamanic practice.

In Jewish shamanic practice, the "supernatural" is none other than a deeper "natural", and there really is no such thing as the "supernatural":

The various permutations of the various Sacred Names can effect or rearrange the "natural order" of things, since the natural order of things and their makeup are animated by Creator whose creative essence is concealed within many Names. The kabbalistic rite of the permutation of the Sacred Names would then be like rearranging molecules with the intention of altering their structures to effect any variety of manifestations.

The MaHaRaL noted that the realms of both the physical and the spiritual share the same Primary Root Cause, the Creator's ineffable Name, which, when pronounced properly constitutes an invocation of that attribute of the Infinite that manifests in the ever-unfolding dynamics of ever-continuing creation. Therefore, a supernatural occurence invoked by chanting the Sacred Name constitutes no disruption of the order of the physical universe. In other words: there is actually no such thing as "supernatural" ...

The secrets of sorcery and of ancient mystery wisdom altogether are exclusively to be discovered neither in books nor in workshops but deep down in the cobwebbed cellars of each and every one of us, buried within the murky mystery of our Essential Self. After all, the masters quoted in these ancient and early medieval texts must have gotten their inspiration and wisdom from somewhere other than books. For the main part, this body of wisdom was transmitted orally since Avraham, who in turn may have learned a lot of it from Eber and Malchizedek, whom the ancient rabbis considered the primary mentors of the first Hebrews.

One idea (inserted above*) regarding the sheydim that I will bring down into Rabbi Winkler's excellent instruction is this - the sheydim are made Holy when completed in the beauty of Shabbat consciousness. So mote it be. אמן

Holy Holy Holy Host

ח' באדר ב' תשס"ח
Raven 9

Tzav, Pakod, Meumah - Holy, Holy, Holy

In Unblemished Mitzvah I brought down the idea that the vulnerability of meumah to blemish (mum) is neutralized by the presence of tzav (command of mobilization), and that materiality neutralized of potential blemish is actualized through the endless action pakod. Remembering.

Interestingly, as mentioned in the earlier entry, meumah and tzav each have a gematria of 92. The digit sum of 92 is 11. Eleven is the number of Temple incense spices corresponding to the rectification of Tohu (the state from which the vessels may shatter and become seemingly disconnected from Wholeness), the elevation of Tohu back into the realm of Holiness, and the "distillation and transformation of all corporeality and physicality into supernal luminescence."

Torah instructs us not to duplicate the Temple incense compound for personal use, lest s/he be "cut off" (shattered and seemingly disconnected). In other words, the duplication of meumah implies that bringing down the power of meumah without tzav (bringing down something from something), may shatter the personality, while the power of meumah tempered with tzav (bringing down something and nothing), does not shatter the personality. The personality remains whole in the case where the 92-compound meumah is not itself duplicated, but tempered through a different 92-compound, namely tzav.

Tzav tempers meumah by adding it's own digit sum of 11 to the 11 of meumah, bringing down the whole essence of the 22 Creation Letters of the aleph-beit.

Thus, meumah is not duplicated for personal use, it is completed in a wholistic bodily realization (a Host) of Intelligent Creative Consciousness.

Importantly, with respect to the upcoming observance of Purim, the word-set tzav-pakod-meumah corresponds to the "holy, holy, holy" descent of my soul through all contractions of the created world, while yet still remaining bound to the Divine Essence.

Living Kedushah

כ' באדר א' תשס"ח
Keolwulf 21

Another point related to today's Walking On Fire entry Roar Of The Lion, pertains to a second point of the article by Rabbi Ari Enkin posted by Gil Student at Hirhurim in the discussion on knotting tzitzit during the blackness of night and more:

Many Tzitzit professionals have the custom never to cut Tzitzit strings with scissors or any other metal object. Instead, any necessary cutting or shortening is done with one's teeth.[1] This idea of not using metal in the process of making Tzitzit mirrors the building of the Beit Hamikdash. We are told that it was forbidden to use any metal utensils when hewing the stones which were to be used in the construction of the Altar. As such, some suggest that the use of metal should be forbidden in the process of making Tzitzit as well.

This common denominator between the Altar and Tzitzit is their role in lengthening human life, [2] while metal is a material used in weaponry whose primary purpose is to shorten it. [3]

Back in January of 2007, I posted a kabbalistic perspective regarding the iron of a witch's athame as a holy tool of her sacred altar, writing:

The iron blade of a witch's athame upon her altar is a perfect symbol for the rectification of evil and its elevation back into the realm of kedushah (holiness, sacredness). In the Jewish tradition, this rectification and re-elevation is called tikun olam (repair of the world).

The iron of knives and swords have historically been used to shorten life, making them typically antithetical for use upon a sacred altar, whose purpose is to enhance and lengthen life. However, in the "future world" (in Hebrew "leatid lavo" לעתיד לבא, a code for the transcendent rectified feminine sefirah Binah and her parzufim), our Sages teach that the Temple will be built using iron. Normally, it is forbidden to use tools of iron to cut stones for the Temple altar.

Kabbalistically, iron, one of the seven metals [1] corresponding to the seven mystical attributes of the heart, corresponds to the attribute of Malchut, the element of the heart most "vulnerable to negativity and egocentricity". Malchut symbolizes the feminine Kingdom of the world of action and expression (see sefirotic array here). It also symbolizes the Indwelling Divine Feminine, the Shechinah.

Given the intimate connection of iron with the kedushah of the Holy Temple, we can understand then, that the status of iron (as being holy or not), rests in it's relationship to shortening or lengthening life.

Knesset Echad, Key Circle Of The Black Knot

י'ז באדר א' תשס"ח
Keolwulf 18

I dreamt.

Of the details, the following survived into waking consciousness.

I was in a protected house surrounded by a "circuiting" path, like a running track.

A magnificent lion-like creature ascended to the "track" around the place. The creature of singularly awesome power was potentially lethally dangerous. It's potential danger lay in the idea that the energy it embodied was discerned to be finely balanced upon the dimensionless tip of a scale of iterating measures. If the energy stayed on the track and contained within it's set boundaries, it was very good - for no enemy could cross the track of the lion. Should anyone enter the track of the lion from outside the house, the lion would encounter them in it and rip them to shreds.

As the lion ran it's circuits, I needed to stay in the protected house as well. The danger of going outside for me lay not in being ripped to shreads by the lion, but in "throwing" the lion off it's finely balanced track - almost as if my presence in the house kept everything safely held together in order and balance.

The lion ran circles around the protected house, looking for any unprotected opening into the house which would allow it to enter into and break the integrity of the protective barrier which completely surrounded us. In this manner, the lion tested the protective barrier which formed the inner circle and kept out harmful chaos. It found no opening. The circle stood intact.

I woke up.

The lion represents pure Gevurah. The projective protective barrier which "resists collapse" of the surrounding circle represents pure Chesed. Embodying the principles of integrated order and balance, I represent manifest integration of Tiferet and Malchut. Embodied within the "protected house", I also embody Torah, and more specifically in this dream, I embody the Torah found within the bayit of the tefillin shel rosh (Iyyun):

From the bayit — and the Torah contained within — flow the straps, first surrounding our heads, then tied in a knot the shape of a dalet for the word da'as, and from the reality of da'as (albeit sometimes only in a state poverty, dalus in Hebrew) flow the two straps: one to the right and one to the left, representing the general flow of the emotional attributes of chesed (kindness) to the right side, and gevurah (restraint) on the left.

In truth, chesed and gevurah emanate from the same "space," the transcendental knot interweaving both these elements, rooted in the deepest place of kesser, the "black," the level beyond comprehension which is called the space for "the light of darkness."

In da'as is the key to our emotions, so that they open and flow in the general direction of either right or left, giving or restraining, openness or confinement.

With respect to circle of sacred space I've cast as the Jewitch Liorah Lleucu HaMasovevet, I hereby call the covered Coven of One, Knesset Echad, Key Circle of the Black Knot.

Interestingly, the dimensionless tip upon which the energy of the archetypal lion balanced corresponds to the Hebrew letters yod and hei mappik (הּ) and to the dark crocheted handflower (designed and handmade by DragonInKnots) which I wore on my left hand yesterday at work for "crazy sock Friday". Instead of crazy socks on my feet, I "thought outside the box" and wore a crazy knotted sock on my left hand, in an "intended manner" of a Jewitch's tefillin, achdut ha'shaveh.

A note on the concept of achdut ha'shaveh from Medieval Jewish Mystical Sources:

In this term we can see the influence of R. Azriel of Gerona, for the concept of hashva'ah, equinimity, is central to his writings. Tishby has noted that R. Azriel "usually employs this concept in connection with the conjunction of opposites within the Supernal Root, shoresh ha'elyon." ... Although it is generally assumed that shaveh implies equivalence or balance, H. Yalon demonstrated that shaveh is synonymous with chibbur, conjoined.

Interestingly, the concept of chibbur is associated with the symbolism of the lion and the barrier. In my dream, both the protective barrier and the lion are very good.

Bitachon, Shlomah's Catacomb & The Magic Megilah

Photo from Witches Moon.

ג' באדר א' תשס"ח
Keolwulf 4

In follow-up to earlier entries, 9 Magic Keys To Redemption (which arrived in the mail yesterday) and Manifest Spark Of Redemptive Magic, I dreamt this morning.

Time felt both anciently existent and nonexistent, between being and not being, a twilight zone between time and timelessness.

I lived within a community located deep within the earth, in the hidden (amon) underworld inner world. We came to know through sensory telepathy that the deep subterranean oceans were being broken up throughout the underworld, and soon the deeps immediately surrounding our completely enclosed dwelling pocket within the land would be affected too. Unless some miracle occurred for us, we would be covered over with many waters, obliterated, and our hidden place submerged within the deep underworld seas. In my mind, I was aware that this catastrophic event had happened many times before in antiquity clear back to in the beginning of all. It was a cosmic event that repeated itself throughout aeons of time.

But, there was nowhere to escape. The deep underworld sea was all around us outside the protecting walls of our catacombed dwelling pocket. We lived completely surrounded by the deeps, and had lived our entire existence in this place. We lived in a bubble among the deeps, protected by the earthenstone walls which gave form to our inner place. But those walls were about to be broken up, and our world submerged.

There was no place to escape. We waited for destiny to make itself known. It was the only thing we could do.

The earthenstone walls of our protected place, like the rest of the walls within the underworld, began to break up. We could hear the rush of many waters bounding toward our little world. The walls broke and the waters came. But then, an amazing thing happened.

Though the protecting earthenstone walls had been broken up and there was nothing to stop the waters, the waters stood up anyway as if invisible walls were still there holding them back! The waters stood up and themselves formed a protecting wall (chomah) around us, forming a stockade (migdal) against the onward natural rush of the waters.

The former earthenstone walls now formed small stony paths of escape leading through the deep underworld seas to the surface world. The stony paths were surrounded by protecting walls of underworld deep waters standing straight up.

We stepped upon the paths leading to the safety of the surface, and emerged, awaking to another day.

When He gave to the sea His decree, that the waters should not transgress His commandment, when He appointed the foundations of the earth;

Then I was by Him, as a nursling; and I was daily all delight, playing always before Him,

Playing in His habitable earth, and my delights are with the sons of men.

Mishlei 8:29

With connection to my 9 magic keys, from Insights To The Daf, Megilah 10:
[4] (a) So we base Rebbi Yitzchak's initial statement on a Machlokes between Rebbi Yishmael b'Rebbi Yosi and the Chachamim. Rebbi Yishmael b'Rebbi Yosi explains in a Beraisa, that the Mishnah in Erchin lists (in connection with the Din of Batei Arei Chomah) specifically nine towns out of the numerous towns that had a wall around them in the days of Yehoshua bin Nun - because those are the ones that they found and consecrated (whilst all the others lost their Kedushah with the destruction of the first Beis-Hamikdash).

(b) In another Beraisa, Rebbi Yishmael b'Rebbi Yosi says - that they only mentioned these nine because they were the ones that they found when they returned from Bavel, but that in fact, all the towns that were traditionally walled in the time of Yehoshua bin Nun were sanctified (and these included the sixty towns of the territory of Argov that had previously belonged to Og Melech Habashan).

(c) The second Tana's Lashon 'Matz'u Eilu v'Kidshum' is wrong - because he specifically goes on to say that they do not require consecration.

(d) So we amend it to read 'Matz'u Eilu u'Man'um' (they found these and listed them').

[5] (a) Initially, we reconcile these two Beraisos - by turning it into a Machlokes Tana'im regarding the opinion of Rebbi Yishmael b'Rebbi Yosi.

(b) Alternatively, we amend the name of the author of the second Beraisa to Rebbi Elazar b'Rebbi Yosi, who (in another Beraisa), Darshened the Pasuk in Behar (in connection with Batei Arei Chomah) "Asher Lo Chomah" (which is written with a 'Vav' but read with an 'Alef') to mean - that a city that had a wall around it in the time of Yehoshua bin Nun is considered a walled city, even though it no longer has one nowadays.

Interestingly, in addition to receiving my 9 magic keys yesterday, I also received one of my other recent Craftwork orders - a handmade magic megilah scroll created for writing spellwork. So, in addition to the connection with my 9 magic keys, a connection here to my one Magic Megilah also exists.

The original Torah and the Tablets of the Ten Commandments was concealed in a catacomb that had been prepared by King Solomon when he had first built the Temple. It is still here today.

Two Streams, One Winding Line Of Consciousness

כ"ז בטבת תשס"ח
Grael 28

This Shabbat, the black wax of my main ritual candle was cut quickly and completely down one side like a river cut into the wax (as the deep melted pool of wax drained from around the wick, see graphic, click to enlarge) to the candle holder (over 1-2 inches depending on the perspective of timeline) by the very high radically jumping and leaping flame connected to the wick’s fire. It happened so fast that I only noticed it as the melted black wax was already pouring down the side of my altar. The flame was so unusually high-jumping (I’d estimate it reached 6-9 inches at times), it was so furiously energetic, that I had put it out with a candle snuffer lest it reach over and catch fire the cloth which covered my crystal ball. After putting out the potential fire hazard, I stuck a fingertip into the melted, still warm but cooling, wax on the side of my altar cloth. I’m not sure why I did this. I just did it. I wanted to know the feel of the wax. What was the story it had to tell?

I read a bit of my new book, The Spirit Cord (whose esoteric disciplines I have begun to practice already), before going to sleep.

Following these things, Shabbat night I dreamt.

There was a pervasive catastrophe that devastated the area that included the city of Danville. The devastation bringing death concentrated east (tiferet) of Vermilion Street (which cuts through the center of the downtown business district in Danville). The raging torrent of a mighty river came with the devastating energy, flowing north (gevurah) to south (chesed) down Vermilion Street. Vermilion Street formed the “bed” (choshen mishpat) of the raging river which separated between the camp of life (located on the western side) and the camp of death (located on the eastern side).

Initially in the dream, my children and I lived on the eastern side where the death energy was beginning to concentrate. To escape it, we had to go west (yesod) and across the raging river. Unlike the Ba'al Shem Tov (who used a secret knowledge of Divine Names), I simply gathered up (enfolding involutionary stream) my children, who took the forms of a neutral colored slippery little earth-worm and a leather shoulder bag (like a Benjamin's bag) with a matching leather shoulder strap. I could easily and safely carry these forms with me across the raging river to safety. Before starting across the raging river, as I was about to tell the little earthworm form to get into a clear protective sandwich baggie (so it wouldn’t slip out of my grip as I carried it in the raging water), the little worm did it automatically as if it knew instinctively what it should do or what I was going to tell it. I had dipped the baggie into the river water so that it also contained a manageable amount of water to keep the worm wet and hydrated. As soon as I had done this and/or as I was doing it (simultaneously – tohu - yet distinctly in order - tikun) the worm entered into the clear baggie, which I carried in my hand. Similarly, the leather strapped-purse placed itself/was placed by me upon my shoulder.

Now my family and others who were walking with me toward safety stood together on the eastern bank of the raging river that was Vermilion Street, in the downtown business district. I was going to lead our little band across the raging river. I told everyone to walk carefully, not quickly, and to “feel out” each step each took “for him or herself” as they followed my footsteps across the raging river. They were to feel first before committing a foot to “stepping down” on the floor of the riverbed. The torrential churning current could wipe out the ground underwater and create a hole in the riverbed at any moment between individual steps. I explained, if a new hole arose, they were to take an alternate step than the one I took. "Don’t just step there because I did. See,” I said, feeling a new hole in the riverbed as I “felt” my own way as I started across, “here is a hole, and I am not stepping here (where my foot had originally been directed underneath the water and where those who followed could not see the redirection of my footstep in the churning water).” They indicated they understood. Carrying my children in easy-to-carry forms, one as a slippery worm in a river water-containing plastic baggie and two as the strap and bag of a leather purse, I continued through it, carefully feeling each step of the way. Many others followed my example across the raging river in one long winding single line (this is relevant to the purchase my besom yesterday morning, to the unbroken chain - mi'Sinai - of esoteric transmission, and to messianic consciousness) that extended from beyond the eastern (where death was concentrating in the dream) horizon behind me, across the river and onto the western shore.

I soon stepped centrally upon the western bank of the raging river to safety, as did all those behind me who had followed and were still (on the eastern side of the river) coming to join the “winding line” connected to a proven safe journey out of the camp of death and into the camp of life. I sat down for a moment to rest my aching (but not hurt) left hip muscle that had borne the primary portion of the burden of the workload of making it across.

As my children and I rested there, we “unwrapped” (unfolding evolutionary stream) ourselves in the atmosphere of safety on the western shore. I recognized an acquaintance (no form of any particular person I know in real life) sitting to the north of me who had also made it across the raging river. He appeared emotionally at a loss. Recognizing me as well, he got up from where he was sitting and walked over to me. He told me he had lost his family in the catastrophe and was alone. We reached out to one another simultaneously and placed our hands on the other’s opposite shoulders in a comforting gesture. Then, we leaned forward and touched our foreheads together, also a comforting gesture.

I woke up.

Dare to be true to yourself.
