Ancestral Memory and Soul Recognition

כ״ד בכסלו תשע"ב
Shamash 26

I don't have time right now to write more, but I need to make note of this right now. At the end of a dream I had back in 2006 (Druid Measures), though I didn't write of it at the time, there was another portion of the dream I left unwritten.

In the following video, there is an archeological excavation scene (starting at 21:10) in Silchester, UK at the ancient Celtic city known as Calleva Atrebatum. As soon as I saw this, it triggered in me recognition! Later in the linked dream, the opened ground at the excavation is a place where I hid from Roman soldiers! I can still see it in my mind.

Calleva, I know you.

"One element of that community was Irish, evidenced by the remarkable discovery of a stone carved with ogham, a form of writing that originated in southern Ireland and that is unlikely to date before the beginning of the fifth century." [Source: City of the Dead: Calleva Atrebatum]

Ogham inscriptions have been found there - the writing of the Druids!

The Immortals

כ״ח באדר תש"ע
Keowulf 30

I subscribe to Smithsonian magazine. Until last night, my latest issue had been laying around waiting to be read. Last night before bed, I picked up the issue Discovering Our Ancestors, Researchers Trace the Human Family Back 7 Million Years. Within the context of the main article, there are two particularly interesting sentences that stand out in my mind this morning:

"Their work inspired American and European researchers to sweep through the Great Rift Valley, a geological fault that runs through Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia and exposes rocky layers that are millions of years old."

"White explains that the team returns to this hostile spot year after year because it's the only place in the world to yield fossils that span such a long stretch of human evolution, some six million years."

These two sentences are particularly interesting to me this morning because last night I dreamt a dream which immediately reminded me of them when I woke up. The dream ...

With a few companions, I was walking in the daylight down a path which led by fields of rocky earthen layers which exposed mass graves of people who had been killed by the ruling powers over eons of time. The killing fields revealed a holocaust of humanity. So many had died over time, so very very many. The layers were composed of bodies stacked upon bodies stacked upon bodies stacked upon bodies intermingled with the treeless barren soil and rock of the earth. It reminded me of pictures I've seen of this century's holocaust only on a much larger scale encompassing eons of ancient time and layered like fossils into great rifts of earth.

The killing fields had been to my left as I walked down the path. To my right as I walked down the path, was a special graveyard consisting of iron body-sized silo-like tombs standing upright, squeezed together side by side, and hidden among a grove of trees. As I entered among the trees, I discovered that the ruling powers had hidden this special graveyard and that it was not really a true graveyard at all. The people entombed here could not die, they were the immortals. The ruling powers had entombed the immortals here to contain them, since the rulers were powerless to kill them. The immortals were the only ones in existence who posed a threat to the power of the rulers.

I felt the presence of awesome power emanating from within each of the silos built like an upright-standing iron coffin. [It occurs to me now that this detail is important - the iron coffins all stood upright, suggesting that the rulers were not only incapable of killing the immortals, but were also incapable of burying them on their backs laying down as the bodies in the killing field had been stacked.] I climbed up onto one coffin-silo and penetratingly peered down into it, communicating eye to eye with the immortal inside. I had the power to unlock and open up the silos and to release the imprisoned immortals. I had the power to do it. I could release the terrifyingly awesome power of the immortals. I did it. I unlocked the silos and released the immortals.

I and my companions were gathered among the group of immortals. I noticed that each immortal had a mark on the side of his or her neck. The mark was in a artery-like stave form of Ogham writing, the specific written code unique on each immortal. The mark was beautifully radiant under the skin of the neck and sparked like glowing light-filled blood.

As I was watching the heartbeat of one immortal's mark pulse with eternal life, he told me that I had the mark too. I looked - I had the mark of an immortal too. I am an immortal.

Together, we left the grove of trees and stepped upon the path between the killing fields and the grove where the iron prison-coffins had been hidden. We turned toward the direction opposite the direction my companions and I had initially been walking upon the path (away from the civilization controlled by rulers). We were immortals and we were no longer imprisoned. We went to reclaim our rightful place on the Earth and in the Universe. The rulers ruled no more.

As we walked back toward civilization, I was to learn how to control the power I had released in myself as an immortal. I watched my hand shapeshift like a werewolf's might and then return back to its human form. The immortal beside me explained the werewolf-like form arose when the power was not fully controlled. I looked at my human-formed hand, and woke up.

Wind Of The Willow

י"ב בתמוז תשס״ט
Faunus 13

Last night before retiring for bed, I drew an Ogham divination card to read the energy in the atmosphere. That card was Willow, the fid saille. Associated with Goddess, the mistress of the mysteries, the moon, water, protection on deep journeys into the underworld, the power of binding, the harp, music, honey and mead, knowledge of time and proper timing, poetry and psalmistry, harmony, ancestral communication, dreaming, seership, understanding, and all that is feminine, saille has four steps to the right of the stemline (druim).

I dreamt.

I was among a small group of individuals who had been gathered together for the purpose of being moved around in the world as a matter of protection. We were loaded onto an airplane and flown 'above it' and 'out of harm's way'. The scene had the feeling of high level otherworldly espionage - those from whom we kept safely away were not of the normative human world, but of the mystical hidden world. Those of us flown to safety were masters in training. There were only a very few of us in the entire world.

Once we landed, we all went our separate ways, each of us accompanied by a pair of masters who had already crossed the fuzzy liminal line which distinguished novices from masters. The masters of protection worked in pairs. I had a pair watching over me, a master in training.

The liminal line that few novices survived (to become masters in training) was the place of beginning seership. At the place of beginning seership, a seer's eyes were opened to see the hidden but had not yet come to understanding. Seership at this level was literally fascinating - one became mesmerized by her or his visions and gazed into them with innocent curiosity in the effort to gain a clearer view of the vision. There was nothing inherently wrong with the novice doing this. The problem with doing this was that a deathly trap had been deliberately woven into the very act of doing it by ... by this ancient Creator Creature of the Deep Sea.

Each evolving seer had a trap woven since the beginning of creation into her or his budding power of seership. As soon as the person began to see, the act of seeing triggered a shift in the reality around the seer such a lethal lazerbeam was generated that the novice seer could not see. The lazerbeam was drawn from the seer's own sight, to focus specifically and directly on the seer, to kill her or him. A novice seer, though able to see a little bit into deeper reality, couldn't see deep enough to see the lazerbeam focused on to kill the novice seer. Only a master seer could see it.

From a set aside place in reality, I saw the lazerbeam focused on to kill me the first time I began to see. I also saw the pair of masters charged to protect me push me out of its path such that I had not been killed. From there, they had been teaching me to see it and how to avoid its lethal touch, as my seership developed into understanding. As novice seership evolved to include understanding, the lethal lazerbeam would no longer exist because a master seer's mind was so fast and moved at such a high vibration as to make the lazerbeam nothing by default before it became anything. Nevertheless, very few in the world ever survived the liminal line where the lazerbeam operated, where novice seers were either destroyed or lived on to become masters in training.

The Creator Creature in the Deep Sea was a masculine force in a silent Deep Sea. It appeared as a big worm-like fish. I saw it emerge from the hidden depths, and it spoke to me in defense of its killing of seers, saying thus, "I am the Creator Who brought All into being. I Create and I can Take Away."

"What a chutzpahdik little fish," I thought. On the one hand, I understood that in some manner it was the Creator. On the other hand, I understood that despite that it may be the Creator (in terms of Bringing Forth energy), it was still a fish Creature in the Deep Sea. The Deep Sea in which it existed had remained silent in the stillness following its boast. Something perturbed me about this silence.

The Sea is a feminine energy. Now, while the masculine Creator fish had spoken, the Sea he was dwelling in had remained silent. I saw and understood my own power.

I woke up.

"No!" I spoke with the Voice of the Wind of the Willow to the little Creator fish Creature, "you don't have the Authority to Take Away. The power of Destruction is a Female Authority."

Simply walk four steps in the complex Land on the left with a Voice Who Speaks. It is.

Deep.

Harvest Of Highest Beauty

ו' בתמוז תשס״ט
Faunus 7

In preparation for sabbat Lughnasadh, the upcoming Celtic fire festival which marks the beginning of the harvest season, I've acquired my first ritual drum - a tunable Celtic bodhrán made with a natural finish mulberry wood frame and a goatskin head. It's an instrument of most high beauty. So simply perfect!

Mulberry corresponds to the magical Ogham letter muin. The associations of muin include:

harvest
highest beauty
celebration and bounty
respite from labor to enjoy the fruits of one's labor
completion
exhilaration and joy
deep mysteries of divine ecstasy
inspiration
communication
release of prophetic power
the throat and the path of the voice
mead (also called honey wine)
in vino veritas (nichnas yayin, yatza sode)

Interestingly, most of last week I was bedridden with a nasty case of the flu, waking up one morning from a dream with a wizard's cauldron brewing up fiery energy in it [1] and feeling like my throat was on fire. The sore throat has since resolved. I am still recovering from the cough and congestion, though those have very much improved such that I no longer feel so weak as to be bedridden. I am healing and more importantly, my throat and the path of my voice have been purified by fire.

This instrument is a gift of Goddess to me.

Footnote:

[1] I didn't eat any of the stew-like concoction brewing in the cauldron, as there was fire in my throat already and the stew didn't appear appetizing to me on account of that. Also in the dream, I threw one of my pearls into a magical pool of magical water. Like Excalibur, only my chosen would be able to go into the magical pool of magical water to retrieve it.

Mabon & The World Of Rectified Order

Speckled Mabon Muin

כ' אלול התשס"ח
Belz 22

In follow-up to my previous post (Mystical Mabon, Selicha Of Witches), the witches' sabbat of Mabon marks (ת) the autumn equinox, in preparation for the New Year (Samhain/Rosh Hashanah). In modern Celtic witchcraft, the sabbat of Mabon falls within the month of the Celtic tree calendar distinguished by the Ogham letter muin.

Erynn Rowan Laurie (Ogam: Weaving Word Wisdom) writes on the letter muin:

Mbracht, the color associated with this fid (letter), is usually defined as variegated or multi-colored, though brecht means 'speckled' in Old Irish.

In kabbalah (the mystical tradition of Judaism), the "third and final stage of development of the world of Atzilut" is called berudim which means 'speckled'. Atzilut is the world of tikkun (the world of rectified order), is the state of perfection, and represents complete remedy to the effects of committing wrong action.

Thus, the witches' sabbat of Mabon is directly linked, not only to the concept of seeking Divine forgiveness (as discussed in Mystical Mabon, Selicha Of Witches), but is also directly linked to the act of receiving it (through the attribute of 'speckled' called brecht/berudim of the fid, muin).

Death Of Distortion, The Day The Sun Stood Still

י"ח סיון התשס"ח
Alban Heruin 19
A Morning Star Divination

Sabbat/Shabbat divination, with the waning gibbous moon 92% full, during the planetary hour of Mercury and during my morning observance of Litha (the day the sun stands still).

3 Hebrew letters:

עוי the root of distorted-distorting [1] consciousness, with a gematria of 86, the same gematria as the Great Judge Elohim (אלהים)

1 Ogham letter:

saille - the death colored fid of intuition, psychic perception and prophecy

Taken together, this divination brings out Divine Prophetic Power, sensitivity, discernment, judgment and intuitive understanding into the nature of the comprehensive root of distorted consciousness, to rectify (deal death to and transform) all distorting distortions (both revealed and hidden) at their common source.

Her Torah Rising Up From Below

ה' סיון התשס"ח
Alban Heruin 6

Last evening's motzi shabbat divination consisted of 3 Hebrew letters and 1 Ogham letter.

תיו - Torah from the earth; Her Torah, an earth-based shamanic configuration anchored in Truth through the letter tav (ת), projecting through Her hand (י), Torah (ו)

and the letter ailm - the fid of an epiphany

This divination followed the Tzohar dream vision of the single cell-like tav-like Newgrange-like iron framework of an inner temple room simultaneously, both coming down from above and rising up from below. It also connects to my Hebrew name, Liorah ליאורה, whose Torah pasuk of remembrance is Devarim 30:12:

ל א בשמים, הוא: לאמר, מי יעלה-לנו השמימה ויקחה לנו, וישמענו א תה, ונעשנה
It is not in the heavens, that I should say, who can go up and get it for me that I may observe it.

Hishtavut - Her Sound In The Garden

כ'ו באייר תשס"ח
Mab 27

Erev Shabbat (counting yet not counting yesod of yesod - or 41 days which is 5 weeks and 6 days of the Omer - by both the Ari and the Gra), a long line of tornadic thunderstorms rolled through the midwest. In some of the surrounding counties hailstones the size of golf balls came down, Doppler Radar 4x reported live on channel 10 last night. Several tornadoes touched down. In Indianapolis, CNN reports this morning:

At least 14 people were injured late Friday night as a severe thunderstorm with at least one possible tornado ripped through Indianapolis' east side and other nearby counties.

Buildings were heavily damaged at the Falcon Point apartments on Marietta Drive, off 38th Street and Mitthoeffer Road.

About 150 people from the complex were evacuated to John Marshall Middle School.

Foxnews reports that no deaths have resulted from the severe tornadic storms that rolled through the area last night. That 150 people were evacuated to the Middle School is particularly interesting, because this is what happened to me last evening.

What would the Shabbat storm tell me?

During the height of the storm in my area, I prepared and dressed my Shabbat candles, one of which was a stone charged, herbally charged earth element green pillar candle. Carved with mystic symbols, dressed with my own blend of Ceridwen oil, and handrolled with a special faery blend of botanicals, I brought their flames to life.

Then, I went to get a stick of dragon's blood incense. Only, after picking up the package of dragon's blood, I decided I wanted to use a stick of Witches Brew instead. Opening the drawer to one of my herb cabinets, I pulled out a package of Witches Brew stick incense. I have several packages of Witches Brew stick incense. I held for a moment the first sealed package I had picked up in my hand, then replaced it back into the cabinet drawer, picking up a different package of Witches Brew that had been taped closed. Not this one. Exchanging the packages for a second time, I returned to the first package I had originally picked up, opened it and pulled out a stick of Witches Brew incense.

אב with a gematria of 3, restoration of the broken vav of shalom.

The incense-containing ends of the incense in packages of Witches Brew are not visible. One chooses an incense stick by the bare wood ends that rest near the opening of the package. The Witches Brew incense stick I pulled out was split several inches up the grain of the wood on the now-double (like Shabbat loaves joining 7 heavens with the ark of the covenant in the core of the earth) ended incense-bearing end of the stick. In other words, the bare end was whole (one) and the incense end was split (two). Both lengths of the split bore the Witches Brew blend of botanicals. I lit both ends simultaneously in the earth elemental Shabbat candle flame and placed the incense stick smoldering side down into the Celtic triquetra smoking bottle style incense burner on my altar.

My shamanic alphabet divination consisted of 3 Hebrew letters and 1 Ogham letter.

First, around 8:22 p.m., using my standard and rather simple procedure (where I do not see the 3 letters I am selecting from among 22 otiot), I pulled out 3 Hebrew letter cards, in this order:

קלכ

With a gematria of 150, the word means 'your sound' as found in Bereshit 3:10 - "and I heard the 'sound of your voice' in the garden."

Then, also according to my simple standard procedure (where I also do not see the 1 letter I am selecting from among 20 feda, each fid pyrographed into one of my 20 Ogham staves), I pulled out 1 Ogham letter stave:

Nin - the letter of support, connection, feminine power and writing for clarity and contract. It can also mean "fork" (like my Witches Brew incense stick was "forked" at one end). A fork is a bifurcation within chaos with the power to radically change the course of reality and history.

In Ogam, Weaving Word Wisdom, Erynn Rowan Laurie writes on nin:

[Nin is a fid of] weaving together individuals and energies into a greater tapestry of cooperation and peace. In Gaelic terms it expresses a concept akin to the Lakota phrase mitakuye oyasin or "all my relations". Nin is a fid of relationships, both familial and conceptual.

Relationships with others also bring obligation as well as support. Where you are supported, you are also in a place to provide support to others who need your assistance. Nin is the fid of a friend.

Nin's magic is that of weaving and community creation. It can be used to help bring people together for a common cause, and is good for working on peace projects and other tasks that bring disparate people and communities together. Its link with letters and contracts means that it can be used in workings for clarity and understanding in written communications and to help keep legal proceedings in a clear and cooperative space.

With the celestial current, this fid is one of clarity and communication. It suggests harmony and peace in relationships, and speaks of friendship, cooperation and common cause among diverse people. Nin brings connections through communication, and urges you to look for deeper meaning. Nin's link with writing and contracts by necessity brings a connection with the law and the establishment of social order through legal means.

Legally whole peace of rare strength.

Nin corresponds to the ash tree and the herb nettle.

Nettle cloth is stronger and wears better than linen, though fewer fibers can be gleaned from nettle than from flax.

In Ogam, The Celtic Oracle Of Trees, Paul Rhys Mountfort writes on nin/ash:

Ash is a check on peace, for from it [the ash tree] are made the spear shafts by which peace is broken [or restored].

Erynn and Paul both teach that according to Celtic tradition, ash/nin corresponds to 'the contest, boast or flight of women.' Consequently, the contest of women can break peace apart or women's weaving can bring it together into a freedom song of flight. The reality of whole peace or broken quasi-peace/war is given over to the Divine Feminine, manifesting through the collective soul of Womankind.

Paul writes further on nin/ash:

Nin is the ash, a great and sacred tree in Celtic mythology ... presiding over the processes of transformation and manifestation.

This ogam is linked to fate. This does not mean that destiny is iron-cast, but points to the unique fate-path that you have to pursue in this world - one which, although it contains many possible options, is singular to you and no one else. Nin counsels you to regard the continuous unfolding of events as signposts, prompting and guiding you on your journey.

It also challenges you to take up the wand of manifestation and make reality anew for yourself. Positivity, creative visualization, ritual and spellcraft are all instruments of manifestation you may wish to draw upon.

One of ash's greatest features is the massive height to which the tree grows; up to 150 feet. It has quite a sheer trunk with widely spaced branches, and this pole-like appearance contributed to its association in Celtic and Nordic thought to the axis mundi: the central column and axis that supports the sky. As such, it also appears as a type of bridge between the earth and heavens.

Ogam wands were originally made of ash, and the root word nin means 'letters'.

In both cases [of illustrative myth stories shared in the book] we see a symbolic transformation or rite of passage from being controlled by fate to having it in one's own hands. From this flow nin's associations as a tree letter of empowerment in matters of transformation and destiny. In drawing the nin, it is as if you have been handed a magical tool of ash with which to work your will in the world.

I carved the letter nin into my Jewitch wand (the two forms of the letter shin already carved into it at the wand's initial creation), a tool of destiny within my hands, here now in this post with real-world and earthy correspondences to:

* magical letters of creation and transformation

* shins of chochmah (300) and binah (150-150), distinct yet as one

* the middle pillar, ha-emtsa

* hishtavut, magical-mystical balance (nin/150 - קלכ/150) and achieving an immunity to curses

* double-loaved challah, tikun and transformation of evil into holiness

* transformation of a 'curse' (קלל) into a 'blessing' (קלכ)

* restoration of the Divine Feminine

* restoration of the Kohenet Tzedeket (axis mundi, tzadikim nistarim)

* unification (height of nin and gematria of קלכ equals 300/shin)

* restoration of the broken vav of peace (the halved, broken wand of Pinchas transformed into a messianic split middle vav of the Hebrew letter shin)

By this time after carving my wand, the fury of the storm had passed over, but it was still raining heavily and thunderous outside, with lightning dancing across the dark skies. I went outside, felt the magic of the fiercely gentle wind in my face, and let the cool rainwater pour over me as I walked widdershins (holding the essential power of Dark Light) 3 times and 4 upon the wet sacred ground where I walked barefoot like a point of connection joining the entire expanse of heaven with the center of the earth. I felt the soft current of connection sparkling most intimately through the soles of my feet - the heat of the heart of heaven joined to the heat in the womb of the earth as they collided together in the wet cool grass against my skin.

Wholy awesome!

Kept in a black resin pentacle box at the face of my altar when not in ritual use, I slept with my spirit cord around my waist this Shabbat night last night.

In The Current Of An Epiphany

כ'ו בניסן תשס"ח
Annwyn 27

This evening's Beltaine and Yom HaShoah Hebrew and Ogham letter tarot reading was performed under the waning crescent moon 17% full, during the planetary hour of Venus. Three Hebrew letters and 1 Ogham letter were ritually chosen with a Beltaine flame lighting my altar.

לעז, a shoresh meaning to ridicule as strange [1].

When Israel came forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

The shoresh לעז is used in the above phrase from Tehillim, leading one to understand that the state of expanded consciousness called "the house of Jacob" is directly derived from the experience of being ridiculed for being "strange" and different. The house of Jacob also refers specifically to the female experience corresponding to the Jacob state of consciousness.

Following the Hebrew letters, came the fid ailm. This ogham letter has the following meanings [2]:

*inception
*loudest of groanings
*cry of birth and death, where birth and death are one
*celestial current of consciousness
*point of initiation
*a new thing coming into being
*a new cycle of experience and enlightenment
*moment of discovery
*rush of an epiphany

Clearly, the Hebrew and Ogham letters are lucidly, harmoniously and meaningfully interwoven together in my tarot reading this evening. Both the Hebrew letters and the Ogham letter equally touch and elucidate the same liberating story of consciousness. There is complete prophetic-divinatory peace between the two mystical alphabets for me.

First Ogham Casting

כ"א בטבת תשס"ח
Grael 22

Today, on my Hebrew birthday, I made my Wisdom Casting Cloth and cast my Ogham staves for the first time. The casting ritual was performed during the planetary hour of the sun. Briefly, the interpretive line is as follows:

Keter-Malchut: transformation, memory
Right Pillar: wisdom, mastery, elation
Left Pillar: elation, purification, wholeness, communication
Middle Pillar: communication, passion, transformation

That's it for now.

Wrestling, Redeeming & Sanctifying Truth

ג' בתשרי תשס"ח

The afternoon of the first day of Rosh Hashanah, I performed a Jewitch tashlich. At that time I cast the ashes of rituals from the past year into a swampy green cauldron pond in the woods.

As I was waking this morning, I had a powerful mind-vision of two primal goddesses arising from the swampy pond waters (which were waist high on them) where I had performed my Jewitch tashlich. They were wrestling and they arose wrestling, as if the act of wrestling caused the "arising revelation".

Simultaneous with the arising of the wrestling primal goddesses, I saw that the entire atmosphere became chock (חוק) full of dandelions releasing their seeds - so many that they looked like a whitish mist made of dandelion seeds being cast out from the place into the universe at large.

Magickally, dandelions correspond to the Hecate and David archetypes, the planets Jupiter and Saturn, the Hebrew letter tav (through Jupiter), the Ogham letter ruis (through Saturn), the element of air, the channel from yesod to malchut, shabbat consciousness, and the powers of divination/nevuah, manifesting desires and spirit-calling.

Dandelion in Hebrew is שינן, from the shoresh שנן meaning "focus", "precise instructional tool", "directed speech", and "sharpen". Importantly, dandelion comes to "sharpen" the Hebrew letter shin שין, representing the consciousness of mashiach ben Yosef, into the consciousness of mashiach ben David.

With the wrestling of the two primal goddesses of the cauldron-pond, the two meshichim are becoming one.

Interestingly, the Ogham letter ruis corresponds to the color red (Esau, David, Adam) and is the thirteenth (אחד echad = one, with a gematria of 13) letter of the Ogham alphabet.

To mark this Rosh Hashanah vision, I've just created a new original incense recipe - Cauldron Of Creation.

Vav Of Redemption & The 14th Letter

כ"ו באלול תשס"ז

In follow-up to yesterday's entry, Line Letter Key, I wrote that the final 14th letter of the first "key" row was Huathe, symbolic of feminine power. Corresponding to it, the 14th letter of the aleph-beit is Nun, symbolic of messianic consciousness. The first 13 letters were a Unified hybrid of Ogham (representing Gevurah, form) and Hebrew (representing Chesed, force).

Huathe is the sixth letter of the Ogham. The sixth letter of the Hebrew aleph-beit is Vav, the letter of connection, transformation and redemption.

Eliyahu's name is spelled defectively (minus a Vav) 5 times. Five is the gematria of the feminine letter Hei ה, which has an "h" sound. Huathe has an "h" sound.

Taking this together, Huathe in my dream is acting as the feminine guarantor of redemptive messianic consciousness. Huathe is Eliyahu's missing Vav.

The "five" of Eliyahu and the "five" of Yaakov make the whole Yod of "14" (יד). The line letter key was was 14 letters long.

Line Letter Key

כ"ה באלול תשס"ז

I dreamt.

My son Michael was going to fix my car. He needed a key to do it. I saw the key he needed to fix the car.

There were two rows of line letters (like Celtic Ogham), each written from right to left as Hebrew is written. Ogham is normally written left to right like English or in a vertical down-to-up arrangement.

Although each line letter of both rows was made of lines (similar to but not eactly like the Ogham), the letters were not on a druim stem-line as Ogham letters are. Each line letter was distinctly separate from (yet touching) the letter next to it (reminds me of a chatoteret).

The top row of 14 (yad hagedolah) line letters was longer than the row below it. I didn't with intent count the number of letters in the top row, I just knew it. The number of line letters in the shorter bottom row was not revealed. The top row of 14 letters was the key my son needed to fix the car. The row below of hidden number was my secret alone.

On the 14-letter row, the only line letter that was definitely an Ogham letter was the final letter, the 14th letter. It was a Huathe, the sixth letter of the Ogham.

I woke up.

Huathe has an "h" sound, is represented by the Hawthorne tree, suggests an obstacle (like a locked lock) or desire, corresponds to dark blue or purple, and is a symbol of both protection and female sexual power. As a positive force, Huathe rewards past action and brings one to encounter life filled with Divine Benevolence.

EDS Audit - 100% Records Supported!

כ"ד בתמוז תשס"ז

At work, our state EDS (electronic data systems) audit completed today. Our clinical reimbursement assessment data/records were found to be 100% supported! (Hmm, being "supported" was in my Hebrew letter tarot reading Sunday morning. The state audit unexpectedly began Monday morning - a challenge [1] of tinne; tinne was also brought down Sunday morning.)

100% supported means that 100% of our examined records (from late May through June) were in compliance with regulatory requirements and that every piece of reimbursable data had the necessary documentation to support and prove it's accuracy. In other words, everything we claimed to be reimbursably true was proven true - 100%.

A special thank you goes out to Jamie, Jim, Cindy and Tina. I am particularly blessed to work with this group of people. It takes alot of hard work, attention to detail, thoroughness and collaboration to achieve a stellar rating like this!

The auditors conducted the audit in a mere workday and a half. Our atypical standard procedure is to attach "proof" of each reimbursable score as we do it, directly to each assessment. So, the proofs for each score were already in place before the audit even began. I think they liked our organization. It made their job easier too. I think one of the auditors even indicated her appreciation to our admininstrator/CEO regarding how organized our records were.

[1] One of the meanings of the Celtic letter tinne pertains to challenge and testing.

Tinne - Conducting Messianic Consiousness

כ"ב בתמוז תשס"ז

Sundown tonight כ"ג בתמוז תשס"ז begins the Celtic month of Tinne (Holly tree), a month able to conduct the lightening-like flashes of awareness without being harmed or burned by its own direct contact with the powerful energy.

Cyberwitch writes regarding Tinne:

The spikes of Holly leaves act like miniature lightening conductors, granting immunity to the trees. It's ruling planet is Mars and it's Element is Fire.

Mars corresponds to the Hebrew letter gimmel (ג), to the concept of reward and punishment in the physical world, and to the concept of running (ratzo) to return (v'shov) with benevolence.

Unriddled Riddle

כ"ח בסיון תשס"ז

Like a flood across a plain
distinguishing good from bad
is an unriddled riddle.

Luis, the second (ב) letter of the Celtic ogham, is a Duir hafucha and corresponds to the letters L and lamed (ל). Luis encompasses the entire Torah (לב), from the last letter to the first letter in the order of midat harachamim by number and vibration. As an upside down duir, luis forms the gate (ח) to the mysteries.

From the Song of Amergin, Luis "is a flood across a plain."

From Dichetal do Chennaib, Luis "unriddles him a riddle" using "the key cast away."

The mystical power of luis is the ability to distinguish good from bad. In other words, the mystical power of luis is discernment, a function of Binah whose transcendence is represented the letter chet (ח), the gate to the mysteries.

Protected Door

כ"ג בסיון תשס"ז

Sundown Sunday marks Duir 1 of the Celtic witch's calendar. Yesterday I purchased a framed $80 picture of an arched (see chatoteret) white door on sale for $26.66 for my office. I'm going to hang it on my office wall Sunday. It's a lovely piece of art.

Duir is the seventh letter of the Celtic ogham and corresponds to the letters D and dalet. Duir is a letter of 2 lines on a foundation of 1 line (see chet ח) which protects the door from the malice and ill-will of any evil-doer (זד). Interestingly, the Celtic letter duir is an inverted upside down (hafucha) version of the Hebrew letter chet.

Beith, Lady Of The Woods

ט"ו בשבט תשס"ז
Tu B'Shevat - New Year For Trees

The first letter of the ogham is beith, represented by the lady of the woods (עצם), the birch tree (the tree corresponding to my personality type).

Beith astrologically corresponds to the archetypes of Yaakov, Beli Mawr, Torah leatid lavo, the hebrew letter dalet and dirah, and the elements of fire/air (like my chotimah).

Beith's proto-Indo-European root means "resin, gum", like that used to make incense blends [1]. Celtic myth teaches us that "in birch was the Ogham first written." [2]

Phonetically, beith corresponds to the "b" sound like the Hebrew letter beit ב. Hebrew beit, like beith of the Ogham in which all was first written, is the first letter in the first word (Bereshit בראשית) of Torah and that with which all was created.

Lamed-Vav Of The Ogham

כ"ט טבת ה'תשס"ז

In the previous entry discussing Dark Moon consecration of my athame, the (tips of the) index and middle fingers of the right hand will be used in tonight's ritual. Luis and Fearn are the two letters of the Ogham which correspond to the two ritual fingers.

Celtic luis (L) and fearn (F) correspond to Hebrew (ל) lamed and (ו) vav [1], respectively. The combined gematria of lamed-vav (לו) is 36. Thus, the two fingers of the right hand used in the ritual represent the completely righteous "revealed 36", while these two fingers of the left hand represent the completely righteous "concealed 36", for a total of 72.

The Bridge

The sages say: da’at kanita ma chasarta, da’at chasarta ma kanita – “if you have gained da’at you lack nothing, if you lack da’at what have you gained?”

The ogham letters shown are my circle name Lleucu. There are 14 vertical lines above the horizontal and 14 vertical lines below the horizontal. The ratio of the digit sums of these two numbers is 5/5, representing Binah and Malchut, respectively. The ratio itself reduces to 1/1 and further, to 1 (echad).

Also note, there are 6 "sets" of letters, representing the vav of connection and transformation, da'at, Torah and Truth.

Thus, my circle name Lleucu represents the bridge connecting immanence (Malchut), transcendence (Binah) and Aur Ein Sof as revealed in the Malchut of Echad.

Dare to be true to yourself.
