Corruption In The House Of Justice

I am having a very difficult time processing all my thoughts on the Kolko scandal. Along with the tragedies suffered by so many children that may well have occurred relentlessly over decades, comes another frightening thought.

One has to wonder, given the many battei din which have been convened for halachic arbitration over the matter only to be coercively suppressed or cut off altogether by those in power, if our confidence in the integrity of any beit din may be severely compromised by the time the truth is brought out.

This is scary. Very scary.

Nevertheless, only true justice will restore it.
