World Region Match represents the most comprehensive portion of my genetic ancestry analysis. These regions are the product of long term patterns of interactions between peoples within major geographic and cultural zones over hundreds and often thousands of years. World region results provide a broader, more general view of where my genetic ancestry is found among major regions of the world. The highest score indicates my primary geographical affiliation, and subsequent scores indicate secondary regions where my blend of ancestry is present and/or possible sources of admixture.
Northwest European (0.94) 515,908.75
Eastern European (0.93) 259,232.11
Mediterranean (0.88) 171,879.80
Finnic (0.91) 92,306.35
Aegean (0.84) 17,991.77
North African (0.61) 6,919.03
Mesopotamian (0.72) 17,991.77
Mestizo (0.75) 6,919.03
Arabian (0.54) 5,477.95
Levantine (0.53) 3,155.76
Altaian (0.77) 2,071.04
North India (0.34) 1,141.66
Horn of Africa (0.04) 395.58
Eastern India (0.11) 52.48
Southeast Asian (0.01) 5.03
Chinese (0.01) 3.84
Malay Archipelago (0.01) 2.05
All of these regions scored essentially zero, all with MLI scores less than 1:
Patagonian (0)
Gran Chaco (0)
Amazonian (0)
Salishan (0)
Polynesian (0)
Andean (0)
Southern African (0)
Central American (0)
Mexican (0)
Tropical West African (0)
North Amerindian (0)
Australian (0)
Athabaskan (0)
Arctic (0)
Mayan (0)
Japanese (0)
African Great Lakes (0)
Ojibwa (0)
Sahelian (0)
Manchurian (0)
South India (0)
Tibetan (0)
My top 5 are Northwest European, Eastern European, Mediterranean, Finnic and Aegean.
There are two numbers - basically, the one in parentheses is a TribeScore which compares my MLI scores to members of each ethnic group and world region. The second number is the MLI (Match Likelihood Index) Score which determines ranking for matches and measures how common frequent my DNA profile is in that population as compared to the world overall.
