Daughters Of The Flame

י"ט באלול תשס"ז

In my dream Adam From Eve, there was a ritual no man (my bashert included) was allowed to witness - the dressing of the side wound (from which my bashert emerged) by my mother.

Interestingly, ancient priestesses of the Celtic-Irish goddess Brigit conducted rituals dedicated to the completely Divine Feminine force. Men were not even allowed to bring ritual supplies near the sanctuary - village women brought them. It was a woman-only place. Like my Potawatomi ancestors (keepers of the sacred fires), my Celtic-Irish ancestor-priestesses of Brigit were also keepers of the sacred flame.

Brigit is a Celtic goddess who could not be destroyed by the Christianization of Europe. Like Jewish Serach, She never died.

Sacred Earth Designs on Brigit, Celtic Goddess of Creativity:

Brigid or Brigit is the Celtic triple goddess of poetry, smithcraft, healing, and inspiration. Her symbol is fire. Brigid is also the Goddess of doctors and healing and is a Celtic mother Goddess, deeply connected to the earth and its cycles.

She is light, and provides all the skills associated with fire, inner healing and vital energy. Smithcrafting was seen as a sacred skill and associated with magical powers. It involved mastering the primal element of Fire and moulding metal and fusing new shapes through skill, knowledge and strength.

The Goddess of poetry, Brigid fulfills the function of providing artistic inspiration and encouraging creativity.

Awenyddion. My musical poetry.
